Mr. Domien Takx is Managing Director responsible for the day-to-day operations of all existing and future owned and operated hotels in North America.
 
Mr. Takx is a graduate of the Hotel School The Hague, the Netherlands. He has progressed from department head to General Manager to Regional Vice President at various hotel companies. He held senior management positions with companies such as ACCOR France and Interstate Hotels & Resorts.

Prior to joining Hotel Management Advisors, LLC, Mr. Takx was Senior Vice-President International Operations with Golden Tulip Hospitality Group and responsible for the day-to-day operations of all existing hotels worldwide (280 hotels) under the following Golden Tulip brands: Royal Tulip, Golden Tulip, Tulip Inn.

Mr. Takx resides with his family in Orlando, Florida.

 

 

2Mr. Sean Smith

Mr. Smith was the 1994 recipient of the prestigious “Greenspun Scholarship” at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He has held various high level positions on the Las Vegas Strip for companies such as Mandalay Hotels, Boyd Gaming and MGM Inc. In 1997 Mr. Smith went to work for Great Western Hotels as the company’s youngest general manager (27). Mr. Smith led his first property to three consecutive record years of revenue and net profit. In 2000 he became VP/General Manager of the Carmel Mission Inn and Conference Center in Carmel, CA. Again, after three record years, the hotel was listed in the top 100 most profitable in the US by Lodging Magazine (Aug. 02). He became Partner and Vice President of PVI HOTEL GROUP in 2003

Mr. Smith has trained General Managers and Directors of Sales at over 20 hotels and has also taught hotel accounting and management courses at Chaffey and Monterey Peninsula Colleges respectively. In 2004, Mr. Smith was invited to speak at the IEG National Sponsorship Conference in Chicago, IL, on the topic of “Sponsorship Branding for The NextGen.” In 2005 and 2006, he was invited to guest speaker at the Global Economic Forum in Mallorga, Spain and the Hotel Design conferences in Las Vegas and Miami on the topic of “Branding to Create Regional Tourism Opportunities” and “Brand Design” respectively. In March 2006, he was nominated to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, as one of the leading 100 business leaders under 40.

In 2007, Mr. Smith was an honorary speaker at the PRSA annual conference in Washington DC. He has successfully negotiated 22 corporate sponsorships and two nationwide reality shows as part of a hotel branding package. He has owned and managed hotels since 1999.
